Elizabeth “Liz” Larson is the Chief Financial Officer of Siemens Government Technologies (SGT), Inc., the separate but affiliated arm of technology powerhouse Siemens. With project teams throughout the U.S. and overseas, SGT is a cleared provider of Siemens products, technologies, and software to solve some of the most complex government challenges in energy, automation, and digitalization.
In her role as CFO, Ms. Larson is responsible for leading all financial, accounting, controlling and audit functions across SGT, supporting teams on projects spanning infrastructure and building automation, to product lifecycle management software delivered via the Cloud and much more. In addition, she and her teams are responsible for forecasting, planning, and establishing financial strategies for the successful execution of smart infrastructure and digital modernization initiatives serving government customers in the U.S. and abroad.
Previously, Ms. Larson served as Head of Finance for the Apparatus Segment of Electronic Products for Siemens Industry Inc. During her almost 22-year tenure with Siemens, she has held diverse roles with progressive leadership responsibilities in finance disciplines across multiple business units providing technology solutions spanning energy and automation, to electrical distribution equipment and its associated infrastructure. She began her career in public accounting focusing on real estate and related management companies as clients. Upon joining Siemens, she quickly transitioned to financial analyst roles and was selected as a regional controller based in Karlsruhe, Germany, where she led a team driving volume growth and associated strategies for the American and Asia Pacific regions of the Digital Industries – Process Automation business.
A strong believer in outreach and support for institutions vital to democracy, she proudly serves as a volunteer poll worker. Ms. Larson, her husband and three daughters are active in community programs and team sports.
Ms. Larson holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
